Rickmansworth: Fees

Our fees are inclusive of an exciting range of extra-curricular activities, freshly cooked meals and snacks prepared by our on-site chef.

We are open Monday to Friday 7am – 7pm for 52 weeks per year excluding Bank Holidays.

We close at 1pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

A 7.5% discount is applied to 5 days attendance to compensate for Bank Holiday closures. This can be a combination of morning and afternoon sessions or full days.

In the best interests of your child, a minimum of 15 hours per week is required to ensure that all children are settled and able to participate in our curriculum.

Fees are calculated on a fixed month rate – weekly total times 52 weeks and divided by 12 months.

7am drop off / 7pm collection charged at £11.50 per session.

In line with assisting our families to get as much help as they can with the costs of childcare, here’s some useful information on Tax Free Childcare, Government Childcare Support, Child Tax Credits and Childcare Vouchers.

Tax Free Childcare

You can get up to £500 every 3 months (up to £2,000 a year) for each of your children to help with the costs of childcare. If you get Tax-Free Childcare, you’ll need set up an online childcare account for your child. For every £8 you pay into this account, the government will pay in £2 to use to pay your provider.

You can get Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as 15 or 30 hours of Government Childcare Support if you’re eligible for both. More info can be found here Tax-Free Childcare – GOV.UK

Government Childcare Support

Starting from April 2024, existing childcare support will be expanded in phases. By September 2025, most working families with children under the age of 5 will be entitled to 30 hours of childcare support each week.

April 2024 – eligible working parents of 2 year olds will be able to access 15 hours of childcare support
September 2024 – 15 hours of childcare support will be extended to eligible working parents of children from the age of 9 months
September 2025 – eligible working parents of children aged 9 months – 5 years will be entitled to 30 hours of childcare support

Child Tax Credits

Help is available through the Childcare element of Working Tax Credit. It provides substantial support with childcare costs and many families are surprised when they find that they are eligible for it. Please check the following link:

Childcare vouchers

For working parents, childcare vouchers can prove an excellent way to spread and reduce the costs of childcare. Boys & Girls Nursery are registered to accept all childcare vouchers. Please ask us for more information.
